work experience

Students at Prep are expected to complete at least 100 hours of paid work during their enrollment to fulfill the Work Experience graduation requirement. To earn credit for their work, students must have a job at Prep or elsewhere and clock at least 100 hours and have a work permit if under age 18.

Work permits may be requested from the school office by the student's employer. They must submit a Request to Employ a Minor form before we can process the permit. When receiving their permit, students need to provide a valid ID to verify their date of birth.

Five semester period credits for work experience will be applied to your transcript on a pass/fail basis. Students may earn up to ten additional semester periods of elective credit for work experience for an additional 200 clock hours.
